SB190, APPLICATION FOR SENIOR CITIZEN TAX CREDIT
Applications for the Senior Citizen Tax credit will be available February 2, 2026, at the offices of the Collector and the Assessor. They will also be available for download at christiancountycollector.com or christiancountyassessor.com for your convenience. We will accept completed applications until June 15, 2026 at the Collector's Office, Room 101, in the historic Courthouse on the square in Ozark, MO. All renewal applications will also be accepted during this time.
Applicants MUST be at least 62 year of age by midnight December 31 of the initial credit year; the residence applied for MUST be located in Christian County and MUST be applicant's primary/residence; 2025 taxes MUST be paid; and all first-time applicant signatures MUST be notarized.

Accepted forms of payment:
The service fee is not part of your tax and Christian County will not receive any portion of the fee associated with this payment service. Other businesses pay this fee from the profit of a sale, however, there is no profit in collecting taxes, therefore, according to RMSo 139.055 passed in 2005, the cost is charged only to those that choose to pay by electronic method. If you're visting the DMV/DOR, you may simply show them your paid receipt from your smart phone screen. |
